School Districts
Chula Vista school district has 46 schools, including elementary schools, middle schools, and charter schools. They also offer income eligible preschool and TK at select school sites. Students continue on to Sweetwater district for high school.
National school district is coastal and just south of the city of San Diego and has 10 K-6 elementary schools. They also offer TK and state funded/head start preschool as well as a dual language program. Children attend high school through the Sweetwater district.
San Ysidro school district is inland and borders Mexico. It includes 5 elementary schools (K-6) and 2 middle schools (7-8). Income eligible preschool is offered and so is TK. Children attend high school through the Sweetwater district.
South Bay school district is south west coastal and borders Mexico. There are 9 elementary schools (K-6), 2 charter schools (K-8). Income eligible preschool is offered and so is TK. Not including the charter schools, children go to middle school and high school through Sweetwater district.
Sweetwater school district included students from all three elementary districts. They have 11 middle schools, 12 comprehensive high schools, 1 continuation high school, 6 adult schools. 2 of their middle schools and 2 of their high schools are magnet schools(focused theme). They also offer an Independent study(on campus), independent study(off campus/satellite), home hospital, teen parent, and community day school options.
